Christian Education
Christian Education
Spiritual development involves cultivating insights, principles, beliefs, attitudes, and values which guide and motivate us. HTYC’s spiritual education is founded on the teachings of the Bible. The grace of salvation through Jesus Christ is proclaimed, and the biblical perspectives on various life issues are shared. Students’ character development is nurtured through the Bible’s timeless insights.
Through spiritual development, students are guided to search for meaning and purpose in life, to recognize and value the worth of every person, and to build positive relationships with others.
We will sing hymns every morning assembly. Sometimes, Praise and Worship team will lead hymn singing in special events like Christmas Service and Easter Service. |
Every September, we organize an Evangelistic Week. The themes are tailored to the needs students face, such as 'You are the Light,' and 'Love me if…,' |
|
For S1 and S2 Ethics and Religious Education lessons, our school collaborates with the church to launch the 'Life Mentor Program.' Volunteers from church will serve as group leaders and assist teachers’ teaching. The lesson will be conducted in a more lively and engaging approach. |
On Saturday mornings, some students also participated in the 'Life Program' organized by the church. It covers academic tutorials and different topics related to personal development. |
We have different cell groups during lunchtime. We study the Bible, pray and share together. |
We have student fellowship every Friday. Whether experiencing joy or facing challenges, we find supportive friends and a listening ear, ensuring we are never alone. |
We can share our personal concerns together, such as academic pressure or worries about getting along with friends. |
Students can join Servant Team and participate in the servant team training camp before summer holiday. |
Some servant team member will participate in joint-school Christian Leadership Training Program. |
