Mission and Visions
In Hong Kong, the current transformation of the economy has altered the economic landscape. In particular, the tourism and hospitality industry has taken on a role of growing importance in the local economy. In equipping students for this new socio-economic environment, the proposed THS programme provides students with a solid foundation of knowledge about the industry.
Curriculum Highlights
The primary aim of THS is to broaden students’ knowledge and appreciation of the tourism and hospitality industry, including a variety of trends and issues, by providing them with the relevant basic concepts and knowledge as well as some practical experience. The curriculum framework of THS consists of give modules: 1) Introduction to Tourism; 2) Introduction to Hospitality; 3) Destination Geography; 4) Customer Relations and Services and 5) Trends and Issues in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. Each module includes knowledge, concepts, attitudes and generic skills.

Civil Aviation Department visit - we got a chance to know more about the history and latest aviation development in Hong Kong; the roles and responsibilities of the Civil Aviation Department as well as how safety and operational efficiency is achieved in aviation.

THS Day during the academic week - we invited an experienced tour guide from the TCI to have the professional sharing his valuable experience in organizing different kinds of tours.

Conrad Hotel visit - we got a rare & precious opportunity to visit the presidential suite. What a privilege!

Civil Aviation Department visit - the staff told us about the story behind the third runway of the Hong Kong International Airport. By taking a look at the model, we understood more about the operation of the latest runway.

Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel visit - we got a chance to visit the 2nd largest suite - the Executive King Suite at the Club level in the hotel.

Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel visit - we visited one of the themed guest rooms, which is the Redd Forest. The staff told us some of the special features in the room.

Disney Youth Education Series ~ hotel visit - the staff told us about every detail of the Disney hotel. We became the princes or princesses on that day! We saw Donald Duck teaching the hotel guests how to play Tai Chi, it was so funny!

Group project - the most expected lesson from the THS teacher. Each group had to prepare a set menu for a specific festival. Not only the menu, students were so creative to prepare the suitable costume for the presentation as well.
