STEAM Education
The goals of our STEAM Education is to enhance students' abilities to integrate and apply knowledge across STEAM disciplines while nurturing creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for the future challenges. We keep reviewing and renewing the curricula in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to enrich the learning experience, allowing our students to unleash their potential and become lifelong learners of science and technology.
Objectives
- Deepening and integrating students’ learning through design and engineering
- To enrich students’ LWL intellectual development through school-based PIES (Preparation-Inquiry-Engagement-Self-reflection Model)
- To assist STEM panel to implement STEM subject in S1-3 with the use of Innovation STEM Room
- To strengthen collaborative learning (e.g. pair work, group work, mini project and group presentation) through S3 Project-based learning
- Providing platforms for students to show learning outcomes
- To encourage students to participate in different workshops and competitions to widen their horizons in STEAM within or out of the school.
- To provide various platforms for students to display their learning outcomes and products, e.g. STEAM Fair, STEAM Fun Fair, etc.
- Broadening students’ exposure to STEAM
- To offer opportunities to students to broaden horizons through exchanging STEAM insights with different schools locally and nationally
- Facilitating School’s STEAM development
