Counselling, Health and Sex Education Committee
Objectives
The Counselling, Health and Sex Education Committee works under the Pastoral and Student Affairs Committee. The primary purposes of the Committee are to foster holistic student development, promote mental and physical well-being, and equip students with essential life skills to navigate contemporary challenges.
The objectives are:
- To organize proactive and evidence-based psychoeducational programmes that cultivate students with positive character strengths, emotional resilience and harmonious interpersonal relationships, with a particular focus on mental health.
- To empower students to develop self-awareness, explore their diverse talents and interests, foster balanced development across academic, social, emotional, and physical domains, and cultivate a sense of purpose and well-being in their secondary school lives and beyond.
- To provide timely and accessible individual and group counselling services to students, addressing developmental, emotional, and interpersonal challenges.
- To collaborate with parents, teachers, and external community resources to create a supportive and inclusive school environment that promotes student mental health and well-being, facilitates early intervention, and ensures a comprehensive network of care.
